The CultivatorGoal:  To form a harmonious and balanced relationship with the Earth.

This can take the form of learning permaculture or farming skills, tending to the home garden, or creating  beautiful landscapes. They have a desire to put back into the earth as well as take from it. The Cultivator yearns for the harmony and beauty only their engagement with the land can bring. They may feel a need to move away from city living and all its madness. They may escape through their gardens by creating magnificent flower beds, herb displays, ferneries, greenhouses and vegetable patches.

Women for whom this archetype  seeks expression may have been unfamiliar with the land in their youth but now a strong desire to understand its rhythms and seasons surfaces.  They may feel the need to bring the land into balance with our modern approach to living and heal its scars. Of all the archetypes The Cultivator has a great responsibility to teach us how to live within the constraints of our strained ecosystems. They have a lot to tell us about  living simply and gratefully. The expression of this archetype is vital at this critical historical moment and it is imperative Cultivators use their knowledge to edify us all.
