For those interested in listening to some of the most intelligent people on the planet discussing topical issues then the TED website is for you. TED is an annual event that draws together the best thinkers and often the best presenters to discuss a topic they are passionate about. Ranging from Culture, Technology, Science, Entertainment, Arts, Business, Global Issues and Design speakers address a range of topical issues ranging from the failure of our schools, the devastation of AIDS in Africa, the collapse of societies, peak oil and reclaiming liveable spaces in cities. All of the presentations are fascinating, informative and most importantly make you think.

Presentations are in the format of high quality videos that you can scroll thorugh. There is also a blog, discussion forum and membership area. These fascinating presentations are free of charge and the site is updated regularly. I challenge any Sage not to be enthralled by TED.
