Fictional Fact: Gollum is Rupert Murdoch

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I’ve often wondered why Peter Jackson, the director of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’ movies, wastes his time on expensive special effects when he could use real people.

Gollum, the creepy, ring obsessed mutant currently played by Andy Serkis in a motion capture body suit, requires a skilled team to bring the character to life. Not only is the actor paid handsomely for his work but so are the production team who spin their software wizadry.

What a money waster when Gollum could be played, without any makeup or special effects whatsover, by Rupert Murdoch. The resemblance in personality and style has been noted by many but it appears Peter Jackson is yet to notice.

If you don’t believe me have a look at this wonderful transformation and then tell me I’m wrong.
